    WHERE EXACTLY is the Digital Ownership install file located????????


    After working fine the first launch, I now get the message to install the game disc for Flight Simulator. All I can find on the issue is to reinstall the file. There is no way to download it from the link Microsoft provides! What is the NAME of the file
    and WHERE would it be located after downloading this entire 130 Gb mess????

    Microsoft needs to address this issue which seems to be affecting many Windows users. Otherwise I'm cancelling my Game Pass. This is absurd.

    Microsoft Store installation files are located in the WindowsApps folder on your hard drive, you will need to take ownership of the folder to enter and delete the files.

    • Known Issue: Some users seeing a "Please insert the Microsoft Flight Simulator disc" error when launching the game on Windows 10.
    • Workaround: In order to play the game digitally on Windows 10, you will need to have the Digital Ownership File installed as it is required to grant the necessary permissions to play. If you already have this file installed and are running in to this error, please uninstall and reinstall this file only and this should resolve the issue. There is no need to uninstall the entire 127+GB base game files. Uninstalling this small 10MB file is all that will be needed.

    SSD has HUNDREDS of GB of deleted games.

    Hmm that is weird, the way to go about it is exactly what you did with the temporary files.

    Let´s try another thing before formating the drive.

    The other option is to physically unplug the drive where the games are installed on your computer. Wait about a minute then reconnect the drive to your computer. Once the drive reappears you should be able to manually delete the files from the installation location using File Explorer. ( Just be aware that this method does come with the potential to corrupt or damage other data on the drive)

    I've now discovered a digital ownership app within the purchase but without any clear instructions as to how it all hangs together. Do I simply reinstall MSFS & then install the digital ownership to get it activated?
