Where does the XB1 controller get its audio signal from?

Maybe a dumb question but was interested in getting the kinect-less XB1 but was wondering if the controller can still get the audio signal for the stereo headset adapter without the kinect? Reason I ask is because the kinect has the IR's and was wondering
if thats where the controller gets its audio signal from?

Xbox One - Controllers Disconnecting Intermittently

Having the same problem... also the XB1 controller have a weaker signal than the XBOX 360. :/

If there would be a loose Connection MY TV would Display: "There is no Signal"

But it does not.

So that means, that the XB1 is sending BlackScreen Signal and no Audio in this short break!

Definitly a XBOX Problem.

All other devices works well on My TV.

HDMI is a standart Protocol which seems to be not used by Microsoft.

 

The console maybe? Just like the Xbox 360 you can use a compatible headset plug it into your wireless controller (chat cable) and chat with peps on Xbox Live all without Kinect.

May I suggest that you look into getting the XO Seven's [by Turtle Beach].. they may be a little on the pricy side but they are well wroth it.
