Where did Last.Fm go?

Does anyone know whatever happened to Last.Fm? I used to have it on the Xbox 360 when it was on there, but it has now gone and it isn't on the Xbox One either. Has anyone else noticed this? If so wouldn't you like it back, because I know for sure I do. So
I think we should ask Microsoft to do something about it.

[Guide] Enabling Last.fm Scrobbling for Spotify (including Xbox One app)

Due to a change in how Spotify and Last.fm interact, it will now be possible to scrobble* your tracks played in the Spotify for Xbox One app.

Enabling Spotify Scrobbling for Your Last.fm Account

Log into Last.fm and go to Settings > Applications, or
visit this link to go straight there.

You should see options for Spotify. Press the button to connect your account for "Spotify Scrobbling". This will redirect you to a Spotify-owned page where you will need to log in, authenticate, and give permission for this connection to be established.

(optional) Enable the Spotify Playback permission to allow you to use Spotify to play songs on Last.fm itself.

• This is not required for scrobbling to work.

And there you go, your Spotify account is now set up to scrobble from any device where you are signed into your Spotify account, including the Spotify for Xbox One app.

*Scrobbling is when Last.fm tracks the music you listen to and automatically adds it to your music profile.

 

How about ask Last.FM?? I don't think Microsoft owns them...

 

They either likely had an agreement with MS that ran its course or they simply weren't getting the attention through the app that they were hoping for and discontinued it.

 

They even removed their app from the windows phone platform many months ago.

Their reasons at the time were they were concentrating more on PC subscription services and discontinuing the free streaming service on some devices.

It was one of the apps I used most on my phone and 360. (

I now use I heart radio on my phone, way to go lastfm!

 

Thank you people for getting back to me. So is there any way that we could try and get Microsoft to get Last.Fm back? As I used it on my Xbox 360 everyday or every other day. Would be nice if they got this brought back to Xbox, as it was great for music.

Has anyone wanted to recover their profile on Lastfm? I didn't think much about it when the app disappeared, but I have no record of my account info and can't sign in with my Xbox live profile on their site. I realized the channels and Playlist have names
of artists and music I wanted to refer to. I can't remember if I had to create a separate account on Lastfm, or if the app created a profile around my Xbox live identity.
