    Where did Automatic Download go after latest system update?


    Anyone know what happened? I have slow internet (joy of living in Australia) and now it won't auto download on Instant On. I don't want to be leaving the console on and running for weeks to download some games.

    September Update Now Live

    The update will be available to download on a set date. The person then has the opportunity to download it for a week. After that time if the update has not been downloaded, the console will do so during a predetermined "off time" where the person is likely to not be on based on observed patterns of use.

    Where did Automatic Download go after latest system update?

    You're not alone.With each update my xbox live gets worse and a couple more games become unplayable.The latest victim for me is ESO.No use complaining.It's not financially"feasable" for them to fix.Yet they have no problem charging us full price for a product
    they know won't work properly.

    I recommend turning on
    automatic updates     so your console will automatically download and update to the latest system software typically when your console is not in use.

    The latest version of the system software is required to play on Xbox Live.

    All world updates were automatically downloaded, except the latest for Spain and Portugal. I had to download this. The question is where it is downloaded, if it is on a server in my Microsoft account, etc.

    What happens when you navigate through the Xbox Store and find the pages where you bought the games? Maybe, for some reason, after checkout, the game download didn't get automatically initiated. If you bought the digital version of the game, there should
    be a button on the Store page that says something like "Download" or "Install".

    Also, when you said you "updated" the console, did you update to the latest version released to the general public, or did you just join the Preview Program?
