Where are the wireless xbox one earpieces?

We had them years ago for the 360 and we have nothing close today. This is definitely a huge step backwards for those of us who don't have to worry about making noise in your home at 3am and have a significant amount invested in a nice surround sound and
don't want both their ears covered or their controller teathered to a headset that a child / dog can get caught up and yank all over the place mid game.

Somewhat dissapointing that a simple bluetooth connection wasn't made available instead of forcing a prioprietary input which then required the purchase of an adapter beyond that even for improved wired models.

Xbox One controller WITH wire attached?

Hello all,

I am wondering if there are any xbox one controllers out there that are the same as the old 360 design where the cord is attached to the controller and cannot be removed.

I've been using the Xbox One wireless/not wireless controller (the one where you can unplug the wire and then it becomes wireless) except the cord keeps falling out! I don't even need a wireless controller I just want one with a wire attached but I can't seem to find any.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Unfortunately my issue exists where the Xbox One is wired (LAN) while my laptop is wireless.

 

Hello, i am sorry that you are not satisfied with the current chat and audio options for xbox one but please remember that xbox one is still a somewhat new console and many features are still being made for it. It is likely that sometime in the future we
will see wireless headsets.

 

The xbox one doesnt use Bluetooth, it uses Wi-Fi Direct, so I wouldnt expect any wireless bluetooth headsets to come to the xbox one anytime soon, if ever.

 

Yeah I know what it has, the problem is the lackof support for standard communication protocols and forcing addtiional purchases with prioratary connections. (Mic port on controller requiring another $30 for adapter). That's historically been the Sony
approach to things.

I too am waiting for a wireless earpiece. Should imagine we'll see an official Xbox branded headset in the next few months.

Like you said earlier, it's MS' proprietary wireless tech, so don't expect any third party wireless headsets. (Unless one of them decides to pay MS that proverbial Phat Cash)

 

We are all getting sick of spending more and more money on the xbox one although i like the systerm the fact that no bluetooth headsets can be used is a joke i got the systerm day one paid ful wack for it pluse most the games avalable and extra controler
and 2 play and charge kits you guy supplyed a crappy headset witch broke after 2 month game shops won't exchange them so i am having to use kinnect and tv which sucks at game chat only to hear no plans for bluetooth headset support coming so if i want a headset
i have to spend more well i wish i went ps4 coz microsoft obviously are just on the money grabbing train. Thinking about trading in its things like this why people say ps wins the console wars. I thought microsoft wanted to be more for gamers but only seem
to consentrate on media side now boooo microsoft booooo

 

Be careful what you wish for. If you were on the forums back then, then you know that this peripheral piece of hardware was in the running for the worst MS product of that generation (tough to beat the smoking MS racing wheel). I owned a grand total of
8 of them before I moved on to the V2 (MW3) earpiece they designed which worked but sounded horrible.
