Where are the original games? Where are the fun new titles? It’s been over a year now.

I just received my Xbox series S today. I downloaded all the updates, updated my controller, and paid for Xbox ultimate. I immediately downloaded Halo. I looked high and low for another new triple A title…there weren’t any. I played Halo Infinite for about an hour before I realized I had already played it 15 years ago. Yeah the graphics and fps were better but it was the same story and level experience from half a lifetime ago. Fine. There must be other AAA titles tho right? Where are they? It can’t be Assassins Creed Valhalla, a game I played on PC over a year ago can it? I had 3 red ring of deaths. I vowed never to trust any game company again. I waited over a year for a console to give me a 2 year old pc game and a reskin of a 15 year plus game??? Where are the games?

Huh you need to give yourself a shake if you think halo infinite campaign is a reskin

If you mean the multiplayer sure as with any fps

Nut the campaign is not a reskin and you really haven't played halo 3 I'm guessing based on the years you are quoting

You didn't have an open world aspect where you can have better equipment just by capturing or rescuing bases or squads

You didn't have load outs that came with halo reach and halo 4-5 you can actively run and forth capturing strong points more strong points you hold the less equipped your enemies are ib thr open world

You really should try strong points the objectives are ckear

You didn't have bounties well halo 4 did kinda but only in fireteam but it only affected multiplayer vs this affects your complete game with a customized weapon

As with every game system it us not ms fault if you haven't noticed the pandemic has delayed multiple releases

You have back 4 blood , destiny 2 , tomb raider series , division starwars fallen order and squadrons battlefront 2 , world war z , resident evil series final fantasy series , Spiro etc

Lots of new ip if you are willing to kook there is more then just shooters

Xgu is a great way to discovery new games and more coming as pandemic and dual world crisises rolls on some things do get delayed like star citizen age of empires flight SIMulator which is not the same as the old ones you thinking of

With more and more coming but due to the pandemic they all been delayed om all systems especially ones like Diablo 4 immortaletc

REMember therr I'd s pandemic and even sony and blizzard and nintendo delayed their releases

Not all games are remakes and even remakes add to the original even Nintendo not all Nintendo remakes have new features ehat do you expect from nintendo

Doesn't mean new ip aren't out you have to look that's all

Battlefield 2042 isn't like the original at all

The survival horror games and yes therr are a few like outbreak while similar to resident evil they have their own gameplay and storylines

State of decay 2 is actually an awesome living survival horror game

The op wants triple a titles but forgets the pandemic is affecting all releases halo was delayed and Diablo is indefinite delay due to firing of key staff

Diablo 2 is adding new features all the timethwre are new triple a games just look beyond your scope

The OPs issue isn't with finding games...their issue is with there being a lack of original games ie games that don't make you think "I'm sure I've played this before"

OP: Not sure which Halo you played but I have played all of them at least 10 times in the past year and Halo Infinite is nothing like them....sure, the first stage of the game is similar due to it being set on a ship but, once you are on the Halo, it is completely different: Halo games have always been linear (shoot enemies here, follow this single route, shoot more enemies, reach this end point, next level); Infinite, by contrast, is open world where you have main missions, side-missions etc. I'm not a fan of it myself as it is too different but I understand why they've done it

There are thousands of games available for your console. From the backwards compatible to the new ones like COD Vanguard, FIFA 22 etc.

Check on the store and use the filter to highlight games optimized for the Series X|S. Most of those games are not available with Game Pass and have to be purchased as a standalone title.

After 500k+ units sold and it's been 4 years where 4 new titles have come out? Yes, personally I would sell the old title for $5 to encourage people to buy it.
