Where are the Kinect games?

Why is it so hard to even find out what games have Kinect functionality? You think maybe that's a big reason that it's such a failure? The fact that a Kinect owner can't just click on a list to find all the Kinect games? Unless the game is one of the two/three
top kinect games, or has the word "kinect" in the title, we'll never find it.

Also if Microsoft really wants the Kinect system to grow in adaption, they should REALLY put an effort into making older Xbox 360/Kinect1 games able to play on the Xbox1/Kinect2. There were some nice Kinect games on the 360, but who is going to keep both
systems setup in their living room at all times? Let alone even keep the previous version at all after they upgrade? As a programmer, I know what it takes to upgrade Kinect 1 code to Kinect 2 code. And it's NOT a lot of work. Let alone that Microsoft could
probably easily create a wrapper library to translate older xbox/kinect functionality into it's new equivalent so that all games could universally just work on new devices. Imagine if having an Xbox meant you could play EVERY game that ever existed in the
Xbox history. You think people would choose that over Playstation? And even more PC gamers willing to have the Xbox whom normally wouldn't? Perhaps? That's one benefit that mobile games have over consoles. The game will be available forever! No concern of
buying it then not being able to play when your new phone comes out. And mobile revenue is a lot higher than console revenue.

I assume your asking where are all the Kinect games that you had on the 360? (at least I think that's what your asking)

Unfortunately Xbox 360 games do not work on the Xbox One, so the only "Kinect only" Kinect games are a fighting games (cant remember the name of it) and Kinect Sports Rivals.

It takes less than 2 seconds to go to Wikipedia for a list of kinect games.

I hate to break this to you but the majority of gamers could not care less about their kinects. (see Xbox One launch for details)

The majority of gamers that did, only thought voice commands were a thing. Most of them are over that too. (see Cortana for details)

Since you (in your own words) know how easy it is to achieve what you want, maybe fill out an application for MS and show them how it's done?

 

You can use kinect for a lot more things than just playing games.

sign in securely it uses facial body and infrared technology. i think it was introduced before windows hello for pc. saves entering in a pin or password.

use it instead of old school mic.

use a qr code to redeem stuff on xbl. it takes only 1 second hold it 2 metres away from sensor. tediously typing in a 25 digit key is old school.

use it to console video chat and blow it up on your 40' HDTV rather than video chat on your small phone or laptop screen.

I have kinect sports rivals and zoo tycoon which support kinect.

Get the game FRU for Xbox One. It's a Kinect game and it's pretty fun.

 

I would love to see a good bowling game for the Kinect. Something better than what was done on Kinect sports.

 

Backward compability for xbox 360 kinect games, it would be excellent!
