Discus and support Where are saves on a downloaded game? in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I have a bunch of downloaded games on my HDD so I'm starting to run out of room.     Where are saves on a downloaded game?


    I have a bunch of downloaded games on my HDD so I'm starting to run out of room. I would like to delete some of the games so that I can make more room for other games. My original plan was that I would transfer my save files onto the cloud that way if I
    ever wanted to re-visit those games I could download them again from my history but not lose my saved content. When I went into the files for the game it just shows the game but no save data. If I delete these games will I be deleting my game progress as well?

    Where are saves on a downloaded game?

    your savegames are in all cases stored on the same path.

    Settings -> System -> storage -> hdd -> games&apps -> for each individual game in its on Directory. to use cloud you first have to activate it, then you can Chose Transfer to cloud. it should give you a message not all Content (only savegame files can be
    on the cloud) can be transfered.

    Yes, I know all of that; but for the downloaded games (The Darkness in particular) there is only one item on the HDD which is the game. There is no separate file for my save, if I were to delete that game and re-download it would it somehow remember my progress?
    I'm doubtful. When I get home I can take a screen shot.

    If there is no save game there, then the only other places would be either Xbox LIVE Cloud or a USB Flash drive. Have you saved your game to the Cloud?

    To improve i have a alert some games not necessery name your save whif the name save file...

    Game´s like bayonetta for a sample make a file whif the name of last place/stage you played in the game that is your save file

    Some game´s like persona 4 Arena make diferent files for save and system in that case if you want make a segurity copy; you have to copy both (because system saves yours configuration and updates in some cases!!!)

    And you have Bioware...in their game´s like Mass Effect francise and Dragon Age franchise they make a copy protection the only way to manage is cut and paste for another device has NO WAY TO COPY!!!

    I hope if i helped you and sorry my bad english, it´s self learnerd.
