Where are all the games?

I like bargains as much as the next guy. The issue for gamers like me, is that if a game interested me, then I bought it the day it came out. I've played and been done with any games I like long before they reach a bargain bin.

I hear all these people talking about their backlogs, and I'm truly jealous. I wish I had a backlog. Right now I'm stuck with nothing to play. Trying unsuccessfully to branch out and play games that don't suit my taste in the futile hope of enjoying one.

I still have my 360. I just don't use it for games anymore. I don't think that makes me any less of a gamer. Many of my friends still play last gen games. I would too if there were any that looked good that I haven't played yet.

 

I get a backlog because I never dedicate much time to fully complete a game. Then I add another to the library & it continues on with a cycle that gets larger & larger. I'm just not one of those gamers who rips through a game within the first few days, a
lot of my friends do that. I usually stretch out the experience and play only sections at a time.

 

I just have certain game's I can play over and over. All the Elder Scrolls from Morrowind, I have pit thousands of hours into those game's. Then Fallout 3/NV.....again, thousands of hours. played through all the Fables again, that was back in February-ish.
Played Read Dead again. Both Crackdowns.... Yeah, the list goes on lol.

 

^ Red Dead, what an awesome game, another I started and have yet to finish, (hangs head in shame) needs to stop buying so many new games.

 

Oh you really should finish Read Dead, It really is a brilliant game. My lad is playing it at the moment, He is really enjoying it......which is strange because he is usually glued to CoD Ghosts.

 

I was never a fan of, and I'm still not a fan of GTA, never played it, when I saw Red Dead was Rockstar I was really disappointed, but I love the setting of the wild west, so I opted for it, and loved it, I would love to see them do more varied settings,
I played a game called the Saboteur, set in German occupied Paris in WW2, I would like to see Rockstar go down that line with an open world sand box game.

 

I never played the Saboteur, is it worth picking up cheap? I'll keep an eye open for it if so.

 

Yes, if you can get it cheap I would, I got it for £29.99 from Asda and do not regret one penny, I saw it used on Play.com for about £5 last week, well worth it.

 

I wish I would have kept my 360. I sold it off right before Halo 4 came out..big mistake I know. I still have a back log of games on my PS3 to finish. What happens is I start a game and never finish it. I've got several games to play but sometimes I
find something else to do.

Like right now instead of playing Titanfall I'm on these forums and watching CSI Miami on WE. I love that show btw.

 

I try My best to at least get the main campaign/story of a game finished, I don't go after all the achievements normally though. I just yesterday bought Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands in the sale on the 360, think it was only £2.99. So now I'm playing
that, Skyrim, and BF4 at the same time, I just hope I manage to finish PoP now I've started it.......

@evil. Yeah, I'll look out for the Saboteur cheap then, try and get it before the X1 game's come out I'm looking forward to.

I can totally relate to you comment in regards to buying too many games.

I'm looking at my Original Xbox game shelf right now and 32 out of 74 of them still need to be finished.

As far as my Xbox 360 is concerned, only 5 out of 60 are back-logged.

Buying too many games? No such thing! Jk lol... I literally might have about 30 games I haven't played yet, because of all the sales and free games as well. I bought the saboteur, I think last year, and haven't played it yet lol. I look at new games that
I bought, but just end up playing older games. My brother bought Watch Dogs, like a week after it came out and I haven't even touched it.

 

Xbox 360 has been around for YEARS. Xbox 1 hasn't even been out for 9 months yet. So expect Xbox 1's library of games to be more smaller than Xbox 360. If you love Xbox 360 and the stuff on it sooooo much, you shouldn't have traded it in for Xbox 1. You
should keep both so you can enjoy both worlds. I have THIRTEEN Xbox 1 games the most games I've brought for a specific console in a 9 month period. More are set to come out soon and next year too. Minecraft comes out next month Project Spark full game in October.
Xbox 360 also has Xbox features missing on Xbox 1 like voice messaging change the Dash background with themes and pics and it has a fun Xbox Live Party system.

 

I'm not greatly impressed with the X1 games available at the moment but just invested in the Lego Movie Video Game. I played the other Lego games on PC and like them and haven't played the new ones yet. Was going to get Forza 5 but think I'll just wait until
Forza Horizon 2 now.

 

Forza 5 is my X1 fallback game. It is a very good game. October is still a decent bit away and I am sure you could get a used copy of Forza for about 26 bucks USD. I highly suggest it.
