Whenever my laptop uses my XBOX wireless gaming headset's mic it lowers the volume of other...

My mic volume is lower than other headsets but overall my friends say it is still good quality. My issue is that whenever I start my xbox my mic will not work with them, I have to plug the controller into the USB and then unplug. I can not figure out why.
Another thing are that friends with Turtle Beach headsets are having random issues too, hopefully it is all software that can be fixed.

We are currently investigating the issue and will respond once we're able to provide any updates. As a workaround for the time being, it may be best to continue utilizing the headset with the USB-C cable for the best performance.

Try disabling audio enhancements in your sound settings:

• Open your Settings
  
• Go to System
  
• Open Sound
  
• Select Device properties in the Input section
  
• In the Device properties menu, select Additional device properties under Related Settings on the right
  
• In the new window, select the Enhancements tab if there is one and select Disable all enhancements
  
• If there is no Enhancements tab, open the Advanced tab to see if the setting is there. If it is, uncheck the Enable audio enhancements box if it's checked.

For clarity, are you experiencing audio issues with the sound coming into your headset, the sound coming out of your mic or both?

Can you verify that the app you are using is utilizing your headset's microphone and not another source (ex: webcam microphone, laptop microphone, etc.)

You can change you default input device by following the steps below:

- Open you Settings

- Select System

- Open Sound

- Navigate to the Input section

- Select your device under the "Choose a device for speaking or recording" drop-down

While in this section, you can also try selecting Input devices under the "Troubleshoot common sound problems" in the Advanced section.

Hey Dom,

I have checked the Bluetooth and I have lmp10 5.1, the headphones problem is Bluetooth because I have plugged it in via usb c and it does work without sound quality drops. And I have made sure it is updated to the latest version but I still have the problem of sound when using microphone at the same time only with Bluetooth
