    I have kept trying to reinstalling the same game trying to get it download into the specified folder instead of windowsapps, but it just keeps going into windows apps. I have been able to get the game to download to a specified folder before, but I cannot find a way to do it again. I am trying to do this because I want to install mods for the game and windowsapps does not allow me to do anything in the games files. I am doing all of this on the Xbox app and I have changed the default downloading location to where I want the game to download.

    No they have not fixed the issue. The game still installs into windowsapps instead of the folder.

    I have downloaded other games and only 4 have actually gone to the specified folder. The game in question is No Mans Sky and I am confused on all of this because I had it in a specific folder once but now I cant replicate that anymore. The other games I have all have gone to the windowsapps folder as well.

    Hi there!

    It might depend on the game you're trying to download. Have you tried to download a different game if it's going to be downloaded to the specified folder for us to confirm it?

    I too am having the issue of Stardew Valley saving to the windows app folder instead of where I want it, but my wife does not and she has the same computer as I do. Even when I try to download to different drives I still get the same issue. One of them I tried to delete off of my Y drive but not only did it not delete, I now have a folder that is literally undeletable.
