when you purchase items from xbox store, how long will it take to show in your game

I encountered a similar issue a few weeks back when I bought some items via the web site store and I didn't receive a confirmation email right away, it showed up ca 4 hours later. If your account history purchases shows the item as purchased then you can
go into the store on your Xbox, search for the item and it should show you the Install option (YMMV, it did for my items), click that and the game should start installing right away.

When did you make the purchase?

Have you tried checking the item again in the store to see if you can now install it?

If you check account.Microsoft.com, it will show all the transactions on your account, double check on there that is has completed the purchase to take the money.

If is shows it went through but you cannot download the game, give Xbox Support a call, they will be able to check your purchase history and hopefully get that fixed.

What is the amount of the game and how much do you have on the tag? The reason I'm asking is because now that the system has switched to currency you need to pay tax on your purchases. When purchasing items on the console it will take the first amount
of payment from the currency and then, if there is anything owing, it will take from an alternate payment source such as credit card or paypal.

Also, if you are trying to purchase the item from the website you should know that the site is not yet set up to accept currency as payment for items.
