    When xbox turns on TV is dim


    Hi!

    So what happens is every time I start my console whether it's "xbox on", the power button on the controller, or the button on the console itself, the tv comes on dimly lit. Fortunately I'm able to remedy the situation by turning my xbox off and then back
    on and it works perfectly again. This is getting annoying though, anyone have a fix, or is experiencing this?

    I saw that on the forums it was happening previously around a year ago and then was most likely fixed in a further update.

    Auto dim broken.

    How do I turn off the auto dim feature when watching TV. I don't have a functioning knect since they fry in less than a year so it is constantly off but the screen constantly dims until I open the option to turn on or off the knect then it brightens up
    again. This is stupidly annoying and just stupid that without the knect the Xbox still dims.

    My XBOX ONE keeps turning on by itself. It is usually late at night, I wake up in the morning or if it's been off for more than a couple of hours and the xbox is on. It turns my TV on, but not my cable box, and my tv is dim. Then when I get my controller,
    my TV stays dim until I turn my xbox off and back on again. I've seen this asked in other forums, so I know im not the only one, but from their threads, it seems like moderators are giving generic answers, marking the post as "resolved" when the issue isn't
    fixed. Anyone have ideas? Thanks.

    I mean when the screen dims when it goes into idle. When i watch a movie or tv the screen dims
    Check the settings on the TV with the TV remote Menu.

    I'm having the same problem on my Xbox One. All my other devices hooked up to my TV display perfectly, and are not super dim like when I turn my Xbox on.

    My Xbox dims now too. Hint to Microsoft: videos don't screen burn, and my TV doesn't worry about screen burn-in. There's literally NO NEED for a friggin' screen saver on a console. Let *me* worry about *my* TV, and either remove the dim completely or add
    a toggle to turn it off.
