When Xbox live gold expires?

Hello, i have a question about xbox live gold end date. So - does xbox live gold membership ends on the midnight of the end date or the exact time you subscribed? and sorry about my english this is not my native language.

Do i need xbox live

You will not need gold to buy games (but you will need an xbox live id/gamertag) thats a given, same for iplayer (assuming it comes to xbox one)

As for renting movies not sure ive always had gold when ive done it

The Xbox Live Gold membership will expire the time you subscribed. In other words the beginning of the day you bought the membership. You can also check the day when you got the membership here:
account.xbox.com/en-US You may receive a email notifying you when the Gold Membership about to come to a end. If you have any more questions please let us know.

There is no way to know the exact time your sub will end, only the date, it may even end a day sooner, the servers are on England time, whatever that is, so there are cases when the sub ends a few hours before the date stated on the My Account portion of
www.xbox.com.

Whenever your Live Gold expires is when your Ultimate Pass expires.

If the months of Ultimate are less than XBox Live Gold, call for assistance and restore this conversion. Ask for the Xbox Live Gold as a Seperated Subscription. This way when XGP Ultimate expires you will have Xbox Live Gold available.
