What happens to XB1 Backwards Compatibility after Dec 2016 when Xbox Live support for 360 ceases?

First people are confused of the xbox support for 360 ended in dec 2016, it just no more updates and they will not approve developers to make a game after that point so if a developer is planning to release a game they have to submit the request by that date. They will also stop producing and shipping consoles to retailers at this date

The servers for xbox live for 360 including multiplayer and the marketplace are not going down they have no end date in sight when it stops being profitable (I heard expected to be not profitable around 2020) that's when they will look at closing the servers, that doesn't mean they will close the marketplace for bc they will just remove games that are not bc and most likely live support for those titles

No one knows for sure, but people are guessing near the end of 2016.

 

I want it to be end at 2018

 

I don't want the 360 servers to ever shut down.

Reason being that, for me at least, it's a proven quality console.

 

At least they could upgrade make it better.

 

They can't continue to charge people money if the service doesn't exist so I don't see it being anytime soon....

 

I have a feeling the support will be done by 2016, but we'll probably have XBL and the ability to buy and re-download games until some years later. Not sure.

2016 seems to be the big number.
