When will xbox stop this freind request spamming? Or block the people doing it?

I was playing on Xbox like I do usually at night and this person (got the gamertag if you want it) starting bragging about something to do with a program and then he said he's gonna do it next thing you know loads of us was constantly getting friend requests
off 2 players we have never even met one had [Moderator removed:Name and shame] in its name the other
[Moderator removed] or something and for about 20 minutes we were getting friend requests only off these guys.. Has anyone else had this before?

I cant file complaint, block communication or delete friends request it wont let me just keeps saying go to xbox live support. I can remove other people but just not this one somehow he has managed to stop me doing anything to his gamertag do know if he
has tampered with settings or something.

Block,avoid & report them via your console

Never had this myself but you can always set communications to friends only for a while as well.

There is no point in reporting and blocking, this is one person or multiple people making new accounts intended to spam this crap and the profiles deleted soon after and the process will be repeated again and again. What is Microsoft going to do to stop
this spamming epidemic???

would people PLEASE stop whining about the Social Parts of Xbox Live? Social Gaming is the future. Steam showed that.

a few tips:

BLOCK the senders

REPORT senders for spam

IGNORE spam message

STOP demanding a useful feature is removed because you are annoyed by it.

@Undead, if I had no interest in Halo, yes, your spamming me. (Out of interest do you make any money from the community, advertising, events etc?), If i sent you messages of my web site selling stuff would you appriciate it? (oh and I kept doing it)

The block system doesn't work well, if you block someone and they join your lobby, it mutes everyone in that lobby including your friends, so in this case I would prefer to report them than block them, this should also stop them spamming other people.

I send messages to people on my friends lists, but I try to only message people I think would be interested, and if they say don't or even hint they don't want them, i stop.

All my friends have come from either playing with them in lobbies meeting them by chance, or from forums where we communicate first, I haven't met people from spam.

On a side not, if people keep getting away with spamming, were does it stop? and when word gets around that its fine, who will start?

When an insurance agency sends me a flyer, email, letter thats with good intentions from their point of view, not mine.

If you send spam, you take the risk, I for one am glad its not implemented, on a side note most of the things which were abused on the 360 haven't been added to the Xbox One, IMO this is one on the list.

Dude, you're not listening. These spammers are mass messaging people that are NOT on their friends list. Block that. Either stop multiple messaging entirely or stop multiple messaging to anyone that's not on your friends list. It's that simple. All that
feature is ever used for is spamming.
