When Will Xbox One Games Become Playable Offline Just Like Video Games Released For All The Other Main Eighth Generation Consoles (The PS4 And The Wii U)?

I would like to know if ANY newer versions of the Xbox One have the
day one update preinstalled within their factory settings. If not, how would the consumer ever get to experience playing a single Xbox One game on a new Xbox One or a used Xbox One they purchased, with the memory erased from the previous owner, if
the imposed restrictions implemented completely inhibit gamers (that are unable to ever connect to the internet or that are unable to access the Xbox One servers, preordained to become permanently shut down forever in the future just like how the original
Xbox servers were) from ever being able to play their Xbox One video games offline?

If newer versions of the Xbox One console lack the day one update then will Microsoft ever release any variants of the Xbox One with the day one update preinstalled?

Perhaps a consumer should purchase all of their multiplatform console video games for the PS4 or Wii U since they would be able to partake in playing them offline without ever needing to connect their console online prior to becoming eligible to play their
eight generation console video games they own offline.

When the Xbox One servers shut down forever, how are consumers who lack a computer and a USB flash drive (that could be utilized for importing the update onto the Xbox One) ever going to be able to play their Xbox One games offline
on a new Xbox One or on a used Xbox One, with the memory deleted from the previous owner, if the day one update is not a part of their console's original factory settings?



Please release all future Xbox One consoles with the day one update preinstalled in their factory settings.

@TreFacTor, I guess I sort of did. I'm an early adopter though and normally have all consoles day 1. The only two consoles actually I haven't had day one in recent years are the Wii and Wii U. I did get a Wii, but its novelty wore off pretty quickly. The
Wii U I'm just not interested in.

However, the move from PS2/Xbox to PS3/Xbox 360 was an interesting one for me. The PS2 was my main console... well... because it had the most games. I did play exclusives on the Original Xbox and loved it, and certain multi-platform games were also brought
for the Xbox because they were simply better on Xbox. But yeah PS2 was my main console. They situation totally switched around at the start of the PS360 generation. It has slowly switched back though because Microsoft stopped making games I wanted to play,
and I got fed up paying for Gold and being bombarded with adverts all the time on a service I paid for. E3 will dictate for me though whether I bother getting a console this generation, so far I'm locked into getting a PS4, but if Sony screw it up just as
big as Microsoft have I might just take up knitting or something.

Just become a true gaming aficionado and buy all three. I always own every console every gen. I have a ONE and a Wii U and I'll get a PS4 when God of War comes out.

 

When Xbox One servers shut down forever, we will be on better systems already.

 

If you are complaining about having to be online WHILE you are online for something... you are doing it wrong...

Go read what you wrote... if you buy an XB1 and have NO internet... NO PC, NO External... why are you buying the XB1 in the first place...?? Grow up and get your priorities in order there

 

Also, the PS4 also requires an update.

The only system that has yet to require day one updates is the wiiu and that's by design. The ps4 and Xbox one are online systems and the wiiu isnt

 

Welcome to the 21 century. I try to get my room mate that get PSN. Because if he don't get online in next gen( 9th gen consoles.). He will not able get PS5 games. He think games will always be on disc. I have feeling he find out next gen will not have a
disc opion. And I ready for that era of gaming and not him.

 

Well it has been a year now, you'd think they would already have the patch preinstalled as a convenience to the offline gamers that want an Xbox One. Some people don't have the internet, have limited internet or prefer to be offline gamers. If Microsoft
wanna sell more units it would be the right way to go.

 

What about games that require day one updates to fix games? Assassin's Creed Unity is terrible even with the day one update, imagine it without it.

Seriously, if someone doesn't have decent internet they shouldn't really be playing on the Xbox One or the PS4. The Wii U is for them.

 

They need to start putting system updates on discs. If you were to buy an Xbox One today and use it offline, if you tried to play Sunset Overdrive it would tell you that you need to update the dashboard first, which you can't do unless you have Internet
access. The updates should be on the disc, just like they were with 360 games. It's not an issue for me, but it would still be better to do it that way.

 

Or say perhaps those of us like I used to be (or still are), in the middle of the friggin' ocean serving on active duty to protect the rights of corporations to stick it to the very people who help them stay in the money. But I guess our service members
don't have a right to buy the newest and greatest, laugh laugh cough cough wink wink nudge nudge, game console. They should have better priorities right, tohell? Glad I could be of service to protect your undeniably perfect view of us gamers.

 

Looks like you're going to need that always online connection after all.
