When Will Windows 7 Driver Be Added For Xbox One Elite Version 2 Controller ?

Appreciate the feedback. The problem is that the entire PC is an emulation dedicated PC that was a massive undertaking to set up and configure. Over 100 systems supported and alot of obscure computers, consoles as well. It runs through the hyperspin and
rocket launcher programs, which then run all the different emulators. Setting it up to windows 10 would mean certain emulators would not work, saves couldnt be transferred among some of them aside from being a massive amount of work to even set up everything
again under another operating system. Its really not worth it to get 1 controller to work. Its not a reasonable option for me unfortunately, but maybe a driver will appear again one day. Im not sure what happened to the previous driver that I used on the elite
version 2, which I got when the controller launched and it worked with my windows 7 PC. Also, as someone stated, the microsoft website says windows 7 is still supported for the controller, but could not get a driver for it. Thanks again

Which of these emulators are you using? I've got a NES, SNES, Mega Drive and MAME all working perfectly under Windows 10. Also, PCSX2 (PS2) and Dolphin (Wii & GameCube) emulators also work fine on Windows 10.

At this point, unless you've got a separate Windows 7 machine that is not connected to the Internet (and I highly recommend that you do not connect it), there really is no need to be running a now unsupported OS like Windows 7.

I doubt they will add drivers for Windows 7 as the OS is EOL and no longer supported by Microsoft. Sorry.

I don't think there will be a driver for elite controller 2 for Windows 7. Windows 7 has been out of support since the beginning of the year.

TLDR; Seems it should work wired. Have you tried following the directions at the bottom of this post (specifically using Device Manager to manually search for the driver?

Sorry you seem to be having issues with your controller. It's odd,

because according to the official Elite Series 2 Controller Series 2 page here (bottom of page) it states:

"Connect to Windows 7 or 8.1 PCs with the included 9’ USB-C cable; some functionality not supported."
