When will we record gameplay for longer.?

Hello, I was just wondering is there ever going to be a console update that will let us record games longer. I hate to do this but why can't Xbox/ Microsoft update the DVR on the Xbox One like Sony did with their recording mechanism on the Playstation
4.?

Xbox not "recording that".

Okay so I only have two games for my Xbox one, battlefield 4 and hardline. My Xbox won't let me record anything for bf4 when in gameplay, and te few times it does it's only one second long. When I play hardline it'll record 30 seconds of gameplay just as
it should. All of the profiles on my Xbox are set to adult with no restrictions and it records fine on other games. But for some reason on bf4 it won't record for gameplay. For some reason though it will record loading screens, the menu and the pause menu
but will not record or even give me the option to record any gameplay. If anyone could help me with this it would be much appriciate.

Ps. I don't have a Kinect.

 

Two new features which could be good fr XB1

They should record the actual achievement being unlocked when you record gameplay. That's all I want.

 

My guess is that it will not happend.

Think reason might be that everything recording must go to memory, since X1 is too weak to run game and store to disk beside what game is doing.

So memory is taken from games if to reserve more than 5 minutes, or you may be seing freeze of various sorts.

Guessing that Beam streaming that came recently is to replace that, and recording is done on other device.

But all guesses....
