    So I really want to like Windows 11 and the Xbox app. I really do. It has some potential going for it, but the Xbox app in its current state is absolutely embarrassing and I don't know if it's on the Xbox team or the Windows 11 team, so I'm just going to bitch about it in both locations in hopes someone sees it.

    As a 12900k owner who would benefit from better scheduling and take advantage of performance and efficient cores I absolutely cannot use the Xbox app on Windows 11.

    The issue isn't even local to my machine. I have multiple machines that I work with and they all have the same issue. On Windows 10, the Xbox app is a gem. It works flawlessly, downloads fast, queues things fast, updates fast. Yea it's no Steam, or Epic Launcher from a feature standpoint (integration of the full Xbox store would be a major nice to have), but it's functional.

    Windows 11 is a fully different story. So far I've installed this on 5 machines of varying hardware. a mix of SATA SSDs, NVMEs, Radeon Cards, Nvidia Cards, Intel CPUS, Ryzen CPUS. It doesn't matter. All the same end result - The downloads are slow, it doesn't queue things up properly. It doesn't update properly, some games take 30-60 seconds to even launch. It's an absolute joke and it's 100% reproducible across hardware ranges. PS - I have 1Gbps/1Gbps Fiber to the home and a beast of a ROG router which typically has me downloading games around 125MBps.

    So can anyone explain to me what the deal is here? I mean the common denominator is clearly Windows 11. But do the Windows 11 teams and Xbox teams even work together? Does anyone know that these problems exist? With 5 separate machines I'm confident others have to be complaining about this are they not?

    If Phil spencer saw the current state of this, he'd have a small fit. So what's being done to fix this?

    Sorry for the rant, but it's pretty much the biggest thing holding me back from Win11 and it's frustrating. Just hoping to get some clarity.

    You won't find them on the app. You would need to download the Games for Windows app again, and launch the game from there. Good luck getting the app to work, as many users are stating they can't get it to work on Windows 10 or Windows 11.

    I'm using Windows 11 actually with the latest updates. I did through Windows restore, I restored the settings of a couple of days ago.

    It's not the Windows Update but Xbox App update,

    Every other Microsoft app works fine in the meantime.

    There is no xbox companion app for Windows 11. That's a Windows 10 app now defunct in 11.
