When will the ONE get some decent games?

I'm not on about the Forza games,i'm talking about the Forza Horizon games.

Forza isn't really like the old ToCa games anyway.

Forza 6 has new tracks in it if that's what you want.

If all you stick to is racing games then you will get bored.Plenty of awesome games have been suggested so why not give them a try.

If you can remember the name do tell! I found one that talks about some structure being underground or something. It was decent size wise, but I've yet to find one the size of the forge world in Reach. I like big open canvas like maps when possible. I think
the maps are decent sized when you're on foot but if you're looking to get around by vehicle they tend to be rather smallish.

Tracks that... meh. Look, comparing this gen of consoles' racing games to dated games from the PS2/Windows XP era of racing games is fairly redundant. Even if the tracks were as close as possible to the real thing back then, in TOCA 3 or whatever, they will
pale in comparison to how they appear/feel on this generation of consoles.

To say nothing of the wide selection of vehicles that make knowing a track trivial when you're tearing around one in a European sports car, as opposed to an all torque American muscle car.

Racing lines are a, uh... bit different.

The Forza franchise alone has four racing games on Xbox One.
Forza 5,
Forza 6,
Forza Horizon 2, and
Fast & Furious. With development cycles being a lil bit longer for massive triple A games these days, for a two year-old console it's doing all right in terms of choice. Then there's

Project Cars,
The Crew,
NFS Rivals,
Need for Speed,
Ride, and
Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo...

... pick one of those to play. Or... just pick the one from that list that you know you won't like for "reasons" and tell me why you don't want it. Ha. Seems to be the pattern here. {=D

 

Forza 5 & 6 are simulation racing games, therefore the tracks are going to be the same as real world, forza horizon is a fast paced brawl to the finish line and takes routes on road and off road. to me the xbox one has plenty of games, to many really as
i will never get to play them all.

 

I get where the OP is coming from. I mostly bought my Xbox to keep close with my friends I met on the 360. The fact is compared to the PS4, the Xbox One doesn't have a whole lot of exclusives out now.

There are ones around the corner such as Quantum Break and many that don't have release dates such and Gears 4 and Cuphead, but considering we are entering the 3rd year with these machines, the lack of exclusives and new interesting IP's are a little disheartening.

Yes we have our 360 library's slowly making are way to the One, which I enjoy greatly, but we have these new machines and are being sold the same old games. The fact that I have Shadow Complex from my 360 days and that they are making a HD version of the
game for the One paints the picture pretty clear I hope.

All I can say is just yell at Microsoft to bring more new IP's. I just made a post with a link for Dual Gears, a game on indiegogo in hopes that someone higher up will notice and maybe help it towards the Xbox One. And there are many other games out that
they could get but it feels like they are being a little lazy to a point.

 

I think Microsoft are bringing are bringing new IP's however this has time. We have seen a huge amount of change regarding this since Phil Spencer took over two years ago.

Of the exclusives and semi-exclusives already out though, including Halo 5, Sunset Overdrive, Ryse, Dead Rising 3, Rise of the Tomb Raider, all four Forza games... and down to the smaller games like Ori and ScreamRide. The OP has played two. Three with World
of Tanks.

Of the Xbox One library in general, with those exclusives included... he's played seven games total. Of I think just over five-hundred games in the library, from low budget indie stuff to triple-As. Being unable to find one or two games even remotely appealing
in all of that... c'mon! The OP switching to any other platform besides the PC would struggle to find something to play.

On PC he could dismiss thousands of games as boring without playing them though, not just five-hundred. =)

X1 exclusives around the corner are, as mentioned Quantum Break [new IP] and Gears 4, there's Scalebound [new IP], ReCore [new IP], Crackdown 3... big budget, triple-A, exclusive, first-party, and new IPs.

PS4 in terms of big AAA games off the top of my head has Street Fighter V, Uncharted 4, No Man's Sky [new IP] ... Sony head Andrew House admitted Sony had work to do in delivering more AAA first-party exclusives to the platform.

So... yeah. Xbox One is doing all right for games, first-party games especially. Some people, when you take them for coffee, they can 'umm' and 'ahh' over the menu and choices for twenty minutes straight. Not open to suggestions, picking things on the menu
to criticise, and then they still end up going with the standard, straight-up cup o' Joe they drink every day. Nothing new. Just the boring, straight-up, standard...

... mmm I want a Flat White right now... *salivates*

 

In fact, the PS4 is getting way too many indie exclusives.

Besides, the Xbox family is famous for focusing a little too much on shooters. I hope Microsoft will learn to diversify.

We need to get more games, Especially those games that are currently PS4 exclusives. It's not like Microsoft would have to spend a huge load of money to bring a few more "cell phone games" to the Xbox One. It's simple. Just bring those games. Just bring
EITR, Crossing Souls, Ghost Song, Soma, Stanley Parable, Hotline Miami, Machinarium, and a few others.

I can tell you besides the recent DIRT games coming over to ONE, I spend most of the time in GTAV story mode, driving flat out through traffic to get what I need.

 

Wheres a "new" no just HD reskinned MX vs ATV game? a well done offroad truck game [ JM 360 game is crap ] or a new DIRT game, not just a 360 port, all those games have sold and still get played, a real new version should be here...

funny how they are still selling new games for the 360, as if their is still not enough of a ONE use base to just focus on the new console....

 

Dirt Rally launches in a couple of months for Xbox One, Mx vs ATV was a weak franchise that ended up in limbo when THQ went under, it and other franchises like Darksiders has been picked up by a studio that can only make ports it seems.

But anyway, again, of all the games mentioned you've elected to focus what isn't there or on what you can gripe about...

No doubt if we gave you some monster truck and motocross games to choose from you'd be asking where the go-cart and radio-controlled car games are.
