When will Microsoft get serious about PC crossplay cheating ruining XBOX live for consoles

One : you want to play on PC go play on Steam, Live was designed for CONSOLES which used to have a 99% cheat free existence prior to crossplay. LIVE is OUR world. Two : Spare me with your history lessons. I was playing HACK and Adventure in 1977 on a Sol Z80, Starflight on IBM XT in 1987, Doom when it was first released by Id in 1991, I wrote mods for Civilization 2 on an Intel 486 in 1998 so don't lecture me on who was here first and try to deflect from the topic with handwaving (Mod Removed). live is not online play, live is just a paid gateway to play online which is just a money grab. like i said, most of the games servers are run and paid for by the devs of those games not microsoft, it is up to the devs if they want crossplay on or off.

consoles used to be 99% cheat free before cross play, are you kidding me, consoles have had cheats since consoles first came out, xbox original, massive cheaters and hacks, xbox 360 is one big cesspool of cheaters and hackers, xbox one is also the same mess.

and pc is not all about steam, we have many different store fronts which creates competition and lower prices for that fact.

i am likely more experienced than you in those areas you are blabbing about.

and for your information it is not live anymore it is now Xbox Network which encompasses console - mobile - pc.

its about time they do something about the cheats on console too.

stop painting pc players as cheats it is getting pathetic.

i play a large amount of games on pc and rarely see any cheats, but if i play crossplay with console then i see a huge amount from both sony and xbox.

besides the pc has a player base 2 times larger than all consoles put together, of course they want to support pc, don't forget pc was there long before consoles.

also pc players don't pay for gold as pc is an open platform, all third party games servers are paid for by the dev/publisher of those games (same as on console), they start charging to get through a paywall then nobody would buy their games and we would just get our games from other stores.

I didn't say that, your twisting the statements for your pro PC agenda, Your response is both defensive and irrelevant. It doesn't matter if it's all or some PC gamers who cheat. If it's only 10% that's enough to ruin the experience. Yeah there were console cheaters but more like console EXPLOITS which is completely different because Aimbots on consoles are impossible and probably never came to more than 1% of the total console community so the statements stand. Also, produce your data instead of hiding behind an Ambassador tag which anyone with too much free time and no technical experience or official Microsoft credentials can have.

I hope you're not suggesting that all PC gamers are cheats. That would be a wholly inaccurate comment. I'm a PC gamer and a console gamer.

Disabling or having the option to not play in cross-play wouldn't necessarily make it so that using cheats can't happen.

The old Call of Duty games on the Xbox 360 were quite notorious for of modifications and cheats that totally ruined the games, especially when the developer stopped actively supporting them. So saying that there was a 99% cheat free existence before cross-pay isn't true either.

The PC versions of cross-play titles have various anti-cheat mechanics, it's up to developers and publishers to keep their systems and games updated to prevent cheating. Since most games don't use Xbox Live servers it's not really a Microsoft problem. PC players are banned for cheating too.

All communications have to be rated 'E' for everyone. It doesn't matter if the game played is mature or not. This is what you agree to when you sign up.

Xbox Live is a paid service because Xbox consoles are sold at a considerable loss. This loss is made up in an online subscription. Try building a high end gaming PC for the same price as a Series X, you can't. PC is an open and more expansive platform. I know, my PC cost me £1,500.
