When will I be able to change e-mails and gamertags on Xbox One...?!

Let me start off by saying I love my Xbox One. I have had little to no problems, glitches, errors, whatever. It really is a great system. However I have just found out that the Xbox One has no ability to change e-mail accounts or gamertags? This seems
like a huge problem when you cannot even change this online.

I sold my 360 a year or two ago in preparation for the One, and I am now stranded it seems until I visit home again from college to use someones 360? I spoke with a nice rep. today but he had no idea when this could be changed. Does anyone (hopefully a
MS employee) know when this will be added? The One has been out for 6 months now and this seems a pretty basic function and one that is inconvenient at best for your customers.

You'd need to visit this page here. That page has information on how to change the e-mail
associated with a gamertag if the e-mail you're looking to change it to already has a gamertag on it.

Please follow those instructions and you'll be able to switch the gamertags e-mail.

You'll want to read the information listed here in order to make the e-mail change from
one gamertag to another. If the e-mail that you wish to change it to has a Xbox LIVE account already associated with it, then you'd need to move that e-mail before you're able to make use of that e-mail on another account. This is because only 1 e-mail address
can be associated with 1 gamertag/account.

 

You can change your gamertag on the Xbox One.

Click on your profile-click set gamertag-change your gamertag.

I do not believe you can change your MSA Email on the One yet but you can always do it from the website anyway.

Thanks for the responses guys but I don't think you understand what I'm asking. I need to switch e-mail accounts that are aligned with my current Gamertag.

ALSO, when I made the e-mail I am going to change it to, it generated a random gamertag (faultierpig) or something stupid, and now I am going to have to relocate that one first, and I am STILL unable to do that without a 360 console.

I will keep trying to figure it out, but really I appreciate the help.

 

Are you saying you created new microsoft account just to change the email on your gamertag?

It wasn't necessary.

You could have just gone to outlook.com, created an alias and made the new alias your primary email.

This would have allowed you to change the email for your xbox without having to create a new microsoft account.

Thats what I did and it was painless.
