When will Gears Release?

That's okay. I've seen it on other forums. It's just the idea of a good Gears of War on Xbox One has me interested in the system again.

 

I have no issues if you want to ask questions. My issue is you ask an unanswerable question. There is no possible way that any of us would know this even if we have been with Xbox since day one. This is just not a smart question because there is no way you
are going to get anything more than speculation.

 

But that really is all he asked for. In a way it was a good question as he did state he just wanted to really know more about how the development process works for xbox games. Though none of us truly know the answer we all are pretty good at speculating.

I think the real issue here is the question was asked one year to early. And not necessarily worded right for the answer he was looking for. And plus OP does not seem too be a troll poster so I'm happy to speculate with him. Even if it means nothing at all
too me or anyone else.

 

Asking a question, isn't always to get an answer but it can be a way of opening a discussion, which is never a bad thing, and you have the right to ignore it.

 

We will know for sure E3 2015.

 

I don't know where @Listed Mia and @EnenDaveyBoy read what they read. The OP reads "When do we expect this to be finished?" I don't see any discussion opening question or where he is asking about development. I can see what you are saying, but he should
have said "How long do studios usually work on AAA titles before they are ready for release?" THAT is a good discussion opening question. When you just ask when a game is going to be finished, that to me is like "It was announced yesterday, I want to play
it now! When is it done?" That how I took it. Maybe the OP just needs to be clearer about stating he wants a discussion on development and game life cycles instead of phrasing it how he did.

The first Assassin's Creed took in excess of 7 years but a sequel has been released every year since the original in 2007. Given that the general layout, designs and what people enjoy has already been developed the time will be nowhere near even 5 years
away. Not to say that your post is an invalid point, probably just irrelevant to a long standing and established franchise.

 

I'd actually say that it's been worked on for much longer than a week. Ideas would have been jotted and assessed before the sale had even been made to ensure that there is still a worthy franchise that will generate cash. Plus, the sale will have taken place
longer than a week ago, possibly only by a few days but more likely, weeks or months. Production may already be at a stage where they're aiming for an early 2015 release although I'd like to think that they'll spend as much time as they need and release later
in 2015 so that the game is as refined as possible.

[/quote]The issue isn't with the OP, you chose it have an issue with the OP's question, not the other way round, IMO its people intolerance that makes the world a bad place.

The OP could have ment it anyway he wanted, its your decision how to reply.
