    external hard drive on xbox360?

    will we ever be able to use external hard drives on xbox 360 i mean you can use any flash drive why not use a external hard drive to save games and stuff ?

    Xbox 360 slim 4GB and Kingston Datatraveler G4 32GB

    I'd wait a bit for the current preview update to go live for everyone.

    You'll then be able to use external hard drives of 2tb in size. Not only that, since the 360 supports two external devices, you'd be able to get 4tb of external storage in play.

    Yeah pretty much.

    "We know external hard drive storage is another big one on your list," Xbox chief product officer Marc Whitten said. "It's on our list too. We're working on that for a future update and will keep you posted."

    So far they seem to be doing a good job of listening to the community.. I'm hopeful for it. =]

    Is it possible to transfer the game from your USB to your HDD on the 360? Or is that when the error happens?

    Are you able to re-download the game from the Store again? If you can try using a different External device or if you have HDD space use that.

    Xbox 360 is able to use external resources up to 32 GB, so an external USB/HDD that big should work, doesn't it?

    I am curious. Do you have an external hard drive? It sounds like a similar problem I had when I was using a HDD that was defective. Try unplugging the HDD before you start up the console the next time. If it is acting normal then you know it
    is the external HDD. I hope this helps.
