    When will BD-R playback be implemented?


    I'd like to know when BD-R playback will be implemented? PS4 has it along with most every other blu-ray player out there. I'd love to have the One be the "all in one" machine" so I don't have to have a separate player to watch my own family vacation videos,
    my daughter's play etc. Any news on this feature being added?

    BD-R/RE supported but still won't read

    hi have the same problem here it needs another update to play bd-r but the ps4 played them from day one and 3d playback was around 2 weeks ago ,

    Xbox One can play Blu-Rays, you just need to download the Blu-Ray Player app for it, & it's free too.

    Xbox One can play Blu-Rays, you just need to download the Blu-Ray Player app for it, & it's free too.

    Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Forums!

    We understand it is frustrating since the Xbox One S will not read the Blu-ray discs. Now when you try to watch any Blu-ray discs, does the system display an error or message?

    Does the console play Game discs or CDs? Also, please make sure you have the Blu-ray player installed on the console. This is not an app that is pre-installed.

    Please check out the Disc and Blu-ray settings for more information.

    Sadly, the feature is still not supported despite the Xbox Feedback post having a lot of supporters for the feature.
