When using Skype my camera is a green box.

I have everything enabled to skype, but my camera is just a green box. The kinect is on and everything, but I'm not showing up.

Kinect for Skype - Camera no longer working?

Hello, I have an Xbox One X with the Kinect on the adapter. When I am in Skype, I can see my Kinect camera is working fine. However as soon as I make a call, the image (via the preview window in the corner) freezes and whoever I am calling cannot see me
- only hear me. Since the microphone and camera are both the Kinect, it's obvious that the Kinect is indeed connecting to Skype, but the video keeps cutting out as soon as the other person answers the call. The settings all seem to be in order with regards
to allowing Skype to access the camera, privacy, etc. so I am a loss here. I know using the Kinect is rare in itself, let alone using it for Skype, but I really hope someone can help me as this is how my son and I are able to communicate with our family on
the east coast (we are in California).

Skype Difficulties between Panasonic Viera BRDVD player & Xbox One

Hi,

I've been experiencing really terrible pixelation and freezing when I call a user on skype who is using the Panasonic Viera Skype app.

I've placed both my xbox one and the remote user's skype dvd player in the DMZ on both networks.

I've verified calling Viera-Skype to Viera-Skype shows no pixelation or freezing.

BUT, when I call from xbox->viera in either direction - horrendous freezing and pixelation; audio is fine.

Is there some sort of incompatibility between clients?

Is xbox expecting a resolution the panasonic player/remote camera can't provide?

Running out of ideas here but happy to further troubleshoot if someone can help me / provide details.

Uninstalled skype and re-installed it. That Fixed the problem.

It can't be used as a camera? What's Skype then?

You can use it as a camera for Skype or as a camera to record videos or to film your self doing game reviews on the DVR.

I've been using my Wii U GamePad for the internet browser and the camera's always activated but I honestly don't care if anyone's watching.

I do intend on using it for Skype camera chat if the software comes to it.

it said no updates needed- when I connected via usb.

Now, Opened skype, made a call using kinect camera.

camera works fine, I can hear other people via earphone connected directly to my remote. However, they cannot hear me via the earphone. If I remove the earphones, they can pickup the sound from the kinect microphone.

When using Skype my camera is a green box.
