    When updating my game I pressed cancel all and it deleted my game


    I was updating Grand Theft Auto V and it was taking a very long time to update so I wanted to cancel it and try updating it again and when I pressed cancel all it deleted Grand Theft Auto. I also was downloading Battlefield one but I didn’t have eneough
    space for it at the time so I wasn’t worried about it.

    Game deleted when update canceled

    I was updating a game when the update wasn’t working so I decided to try and “cancel installation” so that I could update the game again, however when I done that my game suddenly was deleted and the whole game had to be downloaded again. Is their any possible
    way to get the game back or does it all have to be downloaded again

    I accidentally canceled my GTA V download

    I was busy downloading GTA V. I saw it hit 50% so I decided to go and pause the download but instead of pausing the installation I accidentally pressed cancel. Is my game now deleted off my console or can I somehow carry on downloading from 50%?

    that's what happens when you press cancel.

    You need to download the full game again.

    And I think they could change what cancel update do, maybe change to cancel only update and not uninstall game.

    that's what happens when you press cancel.

    You need to download the full game again.

    Is a safe option....because when you cancel the update could corrupt the game data, so in all games and apps in xbox one when you cancel and update will delete all the game including the update and only will keep the other content (dlcs). When you put
    back to install it all over again, you are now downloading the game with the update included.

    Sorry to hear it. Unfortunately, in this case you would need to redownload the game unless you have a friend who has the disc that you can borrow to install that way.
