when trying to stream xbox ip address wont be recognised

Do you currently have your Xbox One connected wired or wireless? If you're able to, try connecting your Xbox One wired to your router, that may help with your connection troubles.

Log into your routers admin page and assign it a static ip address. Usually when a network wont assign a particular device an ip address it's not usually the device but it's the router.

You should power cycle your modem and router before setting the ip address

I use the xfinity wifi hotspot but for some reason when i try to connect it my xbox said checking connection then says DHCP could not connect is there a reason my ISP wont assign and IP address to my xbox?

I never considered it an "exploit" all that was needed was to forward your xbox one or use DMZ on your router and then when on your PC you simply go to the xbox app and when you try to connect it first would search for you xbox on the network. Once it
did not find it, you are prompted to put in the IP address (QUESTION: IF IT WAS NEVER MEANT TO STREAM OUTSIDE OF YOUR HOME NETWORK, WHY WOULD YOU BE PROMPTED TO PUT IN THE IP ADDRESS.) All you would need to do is put in the public IP address to your home network
and as long as your Xbox was on it would connect and strream as if you were at home.
