When trying to reinstall Gaming services via Powershell I get an 0x8007002 error

MSFS2020 can not start via the Xbox app or Microsoft store. I can only start it by right clicking on my desktop shortcut and running as administrator.

one of fix it steps is to reinstall Gaming services via PowerShell.

When trying to reinstall Gaming services via PowerShell I get the following error message:

remove-AppxPackage : Removal failed. Please contact your software vendor.

My question is how can I fix it?

HU,

Did both A and B as instructed but Everything is still the same. Luckily, I can still play Flight sim by right clicking on the desktop short cut. But still cant launch the app from Microsoft store and Xbox app, and can't buy anything in the in-game Marketplace. At this point I don't want to do a fresh installation of Windows and Flight Sim to fix Game services because that would be an extremely time-consuming task (several full days to get everything back the way it was).

It just so weird that you can't just easily click a button to uninstall and reinstall.

I'm just afraid at some point I am going to need the services of Xbox or Microsoft store to upgrade the App in the future.

I did option A and B, except after creating B How do I sign in? What am I supposed to do?

Hi, thanks. I ask that because the "remove-AppxPackage : Removal failed. Please contact your software vendor" message usually appears when your PC is controlled by an organization

Let me know when possible how it goes with the other two options.

If you're on windows 10 steps are the same, you just need to download Windows 10 ISO
