When trying to activate espn on my Xbox one, what do I choose as a provider?

Found a workaround. Chose one of the small providers on the list that showed up on espn app page and then typed that activation code in while choosing my actual provider on watchespn activate page. It now works.

Misses Joust, official support you missed the point of Dwoop33's post. We know that we can snap ESPN but the problem is with the ESPN app when you snap it. When snapped the ESPN app only allows you to view 1. The latest news stories or 2. Favorites. The
problem is some people like Dwoop33 and I who watch games via ESPN3 (aka WatchESPN) so we can have for example the TV up on the Xbox one watching CBS and the snap ESPN to watch a live game via ESPN3 (as long as your service provider works with ESPN3). The
app currently does not live up to its 360 version (I liked the organization of the 360 version getting to different sports/leagues/teams). The current app is a mess by different sport like the NCAAM tab just has everything in one tab, the 360 had more organization
when you went to NCAAM tab like I could choose between league and teams etc. ESPN and Xbox might want to look into these issues.

MichMasteR if you are using the TV app and have Brazil Now running then go to Match Fixtures>Select the active match (England vs Italy is next) and keep it snapped through the game. The polls will show up usually around goals or fouls.

TheFierceStorm. Yeah me either, luckily I had my Xbox 360 still so using the ESPN app on that instead of the Xbox One. So same app just different set up just to get the polls.

You could do it with a laptop that has HDMI OUT as well.

Go to http://watchespn.com and log in to your Internet provider when it prompts you (works with Comcast at least). The on the Xbox One set it to TV as the main window and Brazil Now as the snapped one.

Why it was made this way I'm not sure. Watching the ESPN app on Xbox One should have worked the same in my opinion.

I love watching my TV through my Xbox. The OneGuide is a much better interface than the one my cable box provides, and voice commands through Kinect are INCREDIBLE. The fact that I can sit down, say "Xbox On", "Watch TV" and "Watch ESPN", and my Xbox has
turned on the TV, turned on the cable box, and changed the channel to ESPN without me touching anything is awesome. Use it everyday.

ESPN will not be coming to Canada. At least as far as ESPN is concerned. The US broadcaster has no interest currently to provide service in Canada.

As far as ESPN on XBL goes I would think it will not come to Canada. Perhaps one of the Canadian sport broadcasters may come to XBL.
