When transferring Mojang account to Microsoft why do we have to re-purchase the game?

I have been playing Minecraft for 5+ years now. When I installed it onto a new computer it asked me to migrate from my Mojang account to the new Microsoft account. I did do that and the game was running fairly fine for the first 2-3 days. Now when I try to play the game it says I can only play the demo and asks that I repay for a game bought 5+ years ago. I don't have any receipts from the original Mojang account anymore because Gmail terminates old mail after it reaches a certain age. Is there anyway I can just get my game to work again without the need to repurchase it after having my account for 5+ years? If not the transfer of accounts from Mojang to Microsoft is a scam and I will NEVER get another game linked to Microsoft.

I'm having the same problem... did the migration, said everything went fine, now can't play Minecraft Java bcuz it claims we only have demo. I got tricked into buying Windows 10 version of Minecraft when I already had Minecraft and I refuse to buy ANOTHER copy. Microsoft ruins everything it touches and sadly Minecraft is gonna be another thing ruined by Microsoft.

Everything I tried ends up the same, if someone found a fix to this PLEASE LET ME KNOW??? My son has been playing this game 8 years now and it's like part if his daily life even if it's only a few minutes a day to do daily task.

Okay well what is a snacker? Do you have a link that can guide me to one or do I have to scan possibly thousand or so web searches to find one that will work? I just tried to look up snacker installation and got video game downloads or something called snack video downloads. Could you please make an easy to find link to get snacker for pc download available? If so I will try again with the snacker thing installed and see if that helps.

It still says the same thing after closing all connecting accounts and resigning into my Microsoft account. It lets me sign in with my Microsoft account and then tells me I can only play the demo and need to re-purchase Minecraft. This is getting ridiculous, I just want my game to work like it did before the whole migration thing. It is a scam to FORCE players to migrate and then tell them they need to repay for a game they have been playing for X amount of years.

If the game was purchased on a Mojang account and then Migrated to a Microsoft account, when you log with that Microsoft account on the Mojang site you should see the game purchase, even if was purchased with a different account as that information was transferred
