When to expect 3D Blu-ray and Dolby Digital support/patches?

Right now, I'd be happy if just standard blu-ray discs played in my xbox one. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Usually resetting the box does the trick, but it's really getting annoying.

3D Blu-ray and Dolby Digital support/patches

There better be 3D Blu-ray and Dolby Digital support/patches or I am going to be throughly disappointed. I paid a lot of money for Xbox One. This is supposed to be my "all-in-one" entertainment source. I have a 3D TV and this had better be an option.
Hell, my PS3 was capable. Also, the Blu-Ray playback is a bit laggy too. Come on Microsoft, don't disappoint.

 

No Dolby Digital or DTS via optical output?

I just read this:

So how is there surround sound for this but not both Dolby Digital and DTS for Blu-ray and gaming? Since the xbox auto updates, how will I know when an update that adds surround sound and 3D for Blu-ray and gaming is downloaded?

 

I assure you if I go out and buy a 3D Blu-ray player the following day Microsoft will enable 3D Blu-ray support. Maybe I will just take one for the team. I have watched some 3D movies on my projector through FIos on-demand (not attached through the Xbox
One) and would like to own some 3D movies. Come on Microsoft. You already lied about never selling an Xbox One without a Kinect so we might actually get some developer support for that this time around. There's another shiny black paperweight. Hurry up
with the 3D Blu-Ray support.

 

Added my desire for 3D on both. Not sure why, but I'm guessing it's royalty based as to why they don't want to add support. There are likely fee's they don't want to pay and are being cheap about it. I suppose I could be cheap too. Buy PS4 games instead?

I'm surprised that we still don't have an ETA on this. Are there really revenue requisition issues with release the date for this? Can you give us a tentative date?

 

I am getting furious about this. I only decided to buy an Xbox One at launch because I was assured multiple times by the support Twitter team in advance that it would play 3D blu rays. Then, about a week before launch, they said 'It would come soon after
launch.' Now, as launch recedes into the past, Microsoft is getting more and more wishy washy about this.

I want a hard date now or I want to be refunded. I only opted for Xbox One because I was told I would be getting a game console that also had 3D blu ray capability. I bought it as a centerpiece of my new home theater, to which I was adding a 3D capable projector.
I have glasses, the projector, and the Xbox One. I was ASSURED I would be able to watch 3D blu rays on it. I am not able to do that. Give me the promised capability, give me a firm date in the near future, or give me the money you owe me so I can buy an actual
3D blu ray player.

I'm done sitting around waiting. If you told me 'Soon after launch' would be 'well past the seven month mark with no sign of happening any time soon,' I would have told you to go get stuffed and bought something else.

 

I'm agree with LeviticusKitty.It is absurd not to see the 3D film to the present day.Should update immediately!!!

 

XBox One needs Stereoscopic 3D Video format. [1]..Blu-ray player patch for 3D disk movies and games. [2]..3D ability for disk and digital (official)XO games, Kinect 2.0 and indie games. [3] HDMI pass-through port needs to allow 3D signal from 3D-capable
Cable/Satellite TV boxes, 3D Blu-Ray players and much more devices. [4]..3D entertainment app content such as Netflix, Youtube, etc.

 

Wait a second, you mean you guys believe 8 months is enough time to get 3D out there on the console, well it's nowhere close to enough time to get a product that's been on the PS3 since 2011.................................................................................................................NOT!!!!!
Get your programmers in a room, show them a 2011 PS3 and blow their minds!

 

I'm sure once 3d proves itself to not be just another fly by night fad, like 4K resolutions and curved screens, then they'll think about adding it. As it is, you guys are just the vocal minority and with all the other issues with the system right now, this
is (hopefully) extremely low on the list.

Not trying to be inflammatory, but if you bought this thing hinging on something that wasn't available at day one, then shame on you.

 

@bigbenx88 Says "I don't mean to be inflammatory" and then says something inflammatory. Whatever. There are almost 30 pages of people talking about it in this thread alone and thousands elsewhere. It was reasonable to expect Xbox One would have 3D very
shortly after launch considering how old the tech is and the last gen PS3 has it. They also never said it wouldn't come. They said it was possible. So what's the hold up?

 

I want to play Xbox One games in 3D! I played a demo of Killzone in 3D on the PS3 a few years ago and it rocked! 3D aming- at least w/my passive 3D system from LG has no eye fatigue like active 3D, so I can play for hours w/out my eyes getting tired.

 

@bigbenx88 Listen here, they said it was going to be available at launch day one, so like many others I pre ordered it thinking I could finally get rid of that horrible PS3, then a couple of days before release they remove it... That to me is theft. I paid
for 3D bluray support with my pre order money then it was taken away from me. I'm not the only one who feels this way.

 

Makes me wonder if Halo Master Chief collection is going to have Stereoscopic 3D! Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary did have it on Xbox 360... Halo CEA is included in the Halo MCC game on Xbox One with 1080p[?] / 60fps. It would be dumb enough to assume that
3D is not present on the current gen... They were working on this collection since late Halo 4 development.
