When the piece of material are gone on the disk drive on the disk reader on the disk tray...

Yea I figured it was something wrong with the disk tray reader

Walking dead is a disk, when installed I put the disk in the disk tray and the game start (from the hard drive).

When Halo is installed (and the disk in the disk tray), if i launch the game, the game will not launch from the hard drive.

I have a FAT 360 (rodded once), I have to take care of his life span, i need to play from Hard drive.

Any solution??

I have the game in the disk tray, its installed to the hard drive, but for some reason its not letting me play off the hard drive. i still hear the disk spinning ferociously in the disk tray

It's not your hard drive, the hard drive does not read the disks.

My assumption is that your laser disk reader is broken. Sorry but nothing more comes to mind on a solution.

If you buy a new 360, get one with a open - able tray. Way more reliable , and you can get your disk back without smashing it if it dies.

When a game is installed, the disk is still required. Installs are supposed to "lessen" the disk activity, but the disks will still be accessed, like checking that the disk is matching the installation data (DRM checks).

Unreadable errors relate to the disk or disk drive I would assume. You've already tried some things, check and make sure the disk is clean and open the drive tray up and make sure that is clean as well.
