When snapping i get a 'You need to install an app for this' popup

if igo to Snap an app I get a message pop up saying "You need to install the game or app for this - Make sure you are signed into Xbox Live and look for it on the Xbox Store"

If I click the search button it takes me to the store and does nothing but if I hit cancel it goes away and dosnt happen again until I turn the console off and back on.

Console is on instant on. i've tried a few things like fully powering off ect. anyone had and fixed this?

Snap not working?

You need to switch back to the game when snapping an unrelated app using the command "xbox switch."

 

Unable to install mandatory game updates.

When I try to launch battlefield 4 or MGS I get a popup that says to install a mandatory update, when I press install it instead takes me to the games store page.

 

Power cycling the console should fix this. You power cycle by holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down. Once the console is shut down unplug everything and let it sit for 5 minutes.

 

Already tried that. I shouldve said power cycle rather than fully powering off

I get this occassionally too, just click 'cancel' and it should take you to the snapped apps anyway.

Indeed it does. Doesn't fix the problem though. It just comes up again next boot.

Hopefully they'll throw the new dash at me soon anyways. Should fix the issue
