When power on, always offline for 5-10 minutes, and always ask me to enter password to login

Recently, every time I power on my Xbox One,

1. it's always in the "Can't connect to Xbox Live" status at first.

Sometimes it will auto connect after waiting 5 to 10 minutes.

Sometimes it won't connect until I press the "Can't connect to Xbox Live" block.

Sometimes it won't connect until I launch a game.

If I do the connection test, it will say that my Internet connection is fine, it's just Xbox Live having issues.

I am not the only one experiencing this problem. This has become a common situation shared by the members of a local web forum I usually go to. I live in Hong Kong.

And my Xbox One is using Wifi. The Wifi connection is good. Xbox One can connect Wifi very quickly. It just can't connect to Xbox Live.

2. when it finally got online, it will logout my account, then ask me to relogin by entering my password.

I have already chosen "auto sign-in" in the Setting menu.

I have also configured to use Kinect facial recognition sign-in.

Still, it requires me to enter password every fxxking time.

These 2 problems altogether makes it very annoying. I just want to play games. But every time when I power on the console, I will never know until when can I begin playing games.

Some of my fellow forum members said they are switching to PS4 just because of the first problem.

Xbox one dimmed light game breaking glitch

Hi Sniper! Let me ask you the first question that is always troubleshooting step #1 - have you done a hard boot of your console? To do this, you hold the power sensor for 8-10 seconds, then wait for the power brick to turn "Orange." When that happens, unplug
the console for 5-10 minutes, then plug back in and startup.

If the problem persists, then we might need to try using the Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool, in case there was a problem with an update you may have received.

Error code 0x3ec, and I'm unable to sign in

Thanks for your time. I'm having an issue reliably signing into my Xbox account on my Windows 10 PC. I can sign in from my phone, and my Xbox One easily, but both the Windows 10 Xbox App, and Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition fairly consistently give me
login errors.

When I attempt to login in, I select my Xbox account, then it asks for my password, I enter this, the window spins, and then it asks me to reenter my password. At this point, 1 of 3 things happens:

I enter the password, and then I am taken back to the same reenter password page.

I enter the password, and I am logged in, but when I click, "let's play" I am given error code 0x3ec, and the app closes.

I am logged in, and can play Minecraft, but the Xbox Windows 10 App will frequently still crash after successfully logging in.

I've tried some of the common fixes I've found, such as checking your timezone, but have had no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

 

I have same issue, when I power on, I must wait about 10 minutes to see the friend online and nothing works.

I think that is caused by last update, it's frustrating, we pay for this

 

Any solution or suggestion?

May I ask, which of these two features are you using for your console, Instant-On Power mode, or Energy-saving mode?

 

I am using Instant-On Power mode.

 

Try switch to energy-saving mode instead, and let us know how that goes

 

hi. i have the same problem. i live in italy. Even using instant power on or Energy saving, when i turn on my XBOX1 it appears disconnected. i must wait about 5 mins to connect. When i go to options, network it freeze for about 1 min and then it connect
to wifi network. when i push again te X button on my controller to dashboard, the system still ask to make a connection to xbox live. have tried also the eth connection but the problem persist. This painfull problem started after the system update on february
2015 and neither the march system update solved it. Before the february update, the console connect on wifi and ethernet at lightspeed!

 

For the 1st problem (always offline when power on):

Last weekend I switched to "energy saving mode" then reboot, no help, problem still exist.

Then I called the local Xbox Support Hotline. They told me to configure XB1 to use Google's DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).

This weekend the problem didn't happen. So I didn't edit the DNS setting to test. But maybe ClausHunter73 can try it.

For the 2nd problem (always ask me to input password):

The local Support Hotline told me to delete my profile in the XBOX1 console, then add it back again.

I tried and it seemed to have solved the problem. But I powered on the console only once after the trick. I need more testing to confirm this.
