    Headsets on Xbox.

    Why does the Xbox One not support any USB based headsets except for the specific Xbox One headsets that are WAY too expensive. Why can't I unplug my wireless USB dongle for my headset from my computer, plug it into my Xbox and use that for game/chat audio??
    Both my PC and Xbox utilize Windows 10 now, so whats the difference?

    I'm just curious and slightly annoyed by this. I would really like to enjoy 100% wireless surround sound without paying 300$. Come on Microsoft...

    Looking for USB Headsets that work with my Xbox One

    xbox one does not support usb headset, they do not support audio over usb at all.

    the only way is 3.5 mm or wireless headsets that use optical for the base station.

    all usb headsets that say they support xbox don't, they work on ps4 but xbox not a chance, i own several usb headset that state they work with xbox one.

    The xbox one supports Microsoft's usb products such as mics and headsets so it could use what ever headset the PC and ps4 use but they don't. Why is that??

    Nope. Unfortunately there is no support for USB headset/microphone with Xbox. Some headsets do have a USB port, but these are Xbox compatible headsets. You will need to ensure you obtain a headset that is compatible with Xbox one. As you can see from the
    Razer site, the Razer Kraken is compatible with Xbox: https://support.razer.com/gaming-headsets-and-audio/razer-kraken-xbox-one/ but it
    appears the Kraken Ultimate is not compatible.

    Hello Homer,

    We have two of the Xbox One headsets and both seem to work well. May I suggest double checking
    Mic monitoring levels. As you may have already seen, when the headset is plugged into the controller the Xbox automatically recognize it and makes Headset mic Off/On, Headset volume, Headset chat volume and Mic monitoring available right at
    > All settings (kind of cool isn't it).

    As far as USB headset support, I'm not sure. But, from what I am seeing I don't think USB headset is supported on the Xbox One at this time, see "USB
