Microsoft filed for a patent to create an external disk drive for the series s console over a year ago and has been dead silent on the topic ever since. Will we get any updates any time soon? Or did they patent it only so other companies could not make the accessories themselves? I have multiple games that require the discs use to prove I own the game so I haven’t played them since I sold my One S to buy a series.

I only bought the series S because I heard there was a patent for an external disc drive.
