    I was so pumped when I heard that when you buy something from the Mircorsoft Store you will be able to play it on your Xbox and or PC, but when is it happening?

    It's all at the link mate, go and have a read, but below is how it works:

    'When you buy an Xbox Play Anywhere digital game through the Xbox Store or the Windows Store, it’s yours to play on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC at no additional cost. To take advantage of Xbox Play Anywhere, you will need to have installed the Windows
    10 Anniversary Edition update on your PC, as well as the latest update on your Xbox One console. Then, simply log into your Xbox Live/Microsoft account and your Xbox Play Anywhere games will be available to download.'

    As Smwutches mentioned, Xbox Play Anywhere is only available for digital purchases of XPA eligible titles. When you buy an Xbox Play Anywhere digital game through the Xbox Store or the Windows Store, it’s yours to play on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC
    at no additional cost.

    To take advantage of Xbox Play Anywhere, you will need to have installed the Windows 10 Anniversary Edition update on your PC, as well as the latest update on your Xbox One console. Then, simply log into your Xbox Live/Microsoft account and your Xbox Play
    Anywhere games will be available to download. On your Xbox One, games will show as “Ready to Install” under “My Games and Apps”. On your Windows 10 PC, games will appear in “My Library.”

    PC playing xbox live for free.

    PC has been playing free with Live since 2008 with Games for Windows Live. The only significant difference was the lack of party chat.

    The reputation of the service was irreparably damaged though when Microsoft tried to charge PC players the Gold fee, they told Microsoft to...go away in quite strong terms.

    Xbox is still a strong brand, even among PC gamers, so rebranding to Xbox Live for Windows is a good move by Microsoft. They couldn't have tried to charge again, they knew what happened the last time and weren't going to make that mistake again.

    I wouldn't expect the service on Xbox Live for Windows to be any different from Games for Windows Live.
