When is Minecraft Mojang account migration is starting in South Korea?

Hello. This is South Korean Minecraft player.

Before, Koreans can't even see the migration banner, not a age problem for young kids.

And in Korea, 'Cinderella Law', was blocking Mojang account migration to Microsoft account.

But that law has abolished on January 1st, 2022.

So, are Koreans available to migrate Mojang account to Microsoft account from now on?

I want to know what is Microsoft doing for this big migration process.

Also, your Minecraft: Java Edition Mojang account, is it still set in Korea?

Unfortunately the date of birth is tied in. You will have to wait till it naturally migrates to adult at 18 (20 in South Korea and Japan)

since when is south korea not a xbox live region? or do you mean north korea?

if i were you i wouldn't use the migration tool as it does cause problems with previous region locked purchases with older purchases

however for the best experience with live your best option is to match your account location with your actual location

your console locale will not do anything but change your console language not the xbox live

for short tterm visits it is best to create an new account in your new region

for long term well the problem is migrating your account will render the new purchases unredownloadable when you remigrate back to your home country and you forfeit any region locked dlc download from the US

so it depends on you

do you want to waste downloads just for a free game by migrating your account

or you can always make a new account to reflect your actual location with the new account you only forfeit the free game download when you move back

if you migrate your main account you forfeit any previous region locked content and there is no garentee they will be restored when you migrate back to the states when you do move back

and as soon as you leave south korea any region locked south korean content download ability is forfeit

and no you cannot move downloads between accounts but as long as it is the same purchasing console it can be used by all profiles
