    you might want to try an uninstall the app and reinstalling it to see if that helps out.if you keep having main problems with any apps like amazon app on xbox you may have to call support for that app i had a similar issue with the Netflix app awhile back.or
    if worst case you nee to call xbox support you may need to call 1-800-4myxbox and speak to an agent there to give you a more detailed answer.

  2. Been having many UI/console issues for over a week and a half as well, took multiple factory restores & hard resets to eventually get to a point that I can play/watch videos in app for an extended period of time (just became stable again Friday).

    I really would hope that Microsoft can look at these forums and the support tickets opened up to figure out what went wrong with the December "bug fix" update, they sure opened up a can of worms with it :X

    Thanks for the responses all. I've reinstalled the apps multiple times, no effect. I also tried all the usual fixes, restart the router/modem, I even switched routers to see if it was my router being one that has an issue with the xbox update(I have heard
    there were some..) from my netgear to a Linksys, but the issue was still there. That made it clear to me/confirmed to me that while yes these are app specific issues, that since they are similar issues across similar video streaming apps(I now notice on Hulu
    as well in addition to Amazon Video and Vudu, but not Netflix and youtube oddly enough) that it is a xbox problem even more so, especially since they all started after this update to xbox..

  5. After using the XB1 console for 6 months I can say I will sell it (if I can). The idea that I cannot access the file system,, or make file name changes to my files (games, etc..), or other, is beyond logic. Get yourself a good gaming PC.

  6. I've had my numerous share of issues with NXOE.

    Having been a part of the Preview experiences, I will say this release seems rushed and also isn't the experience marketed initially so perhaps this isn't even what Xbox hoped to provide but they ran out of time.

    In the end, it isn't NXOE thats the problem...its the xbox team as a whole or how these experiences are being brought to us as in the state and not frequency.

    It all goes back to saying something that you can't fully deliver on......In the end tho, we will need to vote with our pockets and not via the forums. Sales drove the initial responses and they will continue to drive other responses.

    Not compared to the PS4 but compared to Xbox' own goals excluding any other competitor.

    Not sure what your comment has to do with the subject of this thread but no console will allow you to change file names or access the file system and it's not beyond logic as to why.

    I read somewhere that the next update to the update for the Xbone is not until Feb, 2016.. I hope it's sooner.

    Yes i've noticed the amazon app has become unusable on xbox one due to terrible streaming quality. Other streaming services like netfix, nowtv and youtube work fine.

    Don't know who's to blame but it needs fixing ASAP.

    Its report a problem button only preview members have it as already stated some apps have updates so it is quicker to uninstall/install, also its nearly always down to those who provide the app.

    Hi Corbenden,

    I can understand your frustration -- I honestly do; as a gamer myself I hate when things don't work right; however, something important to note is that MS is not responsible for the software development of the individual apps which are installed on your
    console. Apps such as Amazon & Netflix are maintained by their respective companies.

    Thats not to let MS off with a free pass; I just wanted to mention it because while I'm sure MS wants everything to work perfectly some of it is truly out of their control.

    If you are having specific errors with any one app I would do the following:

    1) Start by uninstalling & reinstalling. I know; seems like an odd place to start but its pretty quick, easy & painless and actually did resolve a Netflix & NFL app issue I had after updating to the new dashboard after countless hours spent trying to actually
    troubleshoot the problem.

    2) Provide feedback to the companies whose app is not working appropriately. All of them have social media presences and email addresses to allow consumers to contact them. I don't expect one person to cause a huge shift in their focus but if enough people
    complain I imagine it would get noticed.

    3) Provide feedback about the issue directly to MS from your console. There is the built in provide feedback option on your console which submits your details plus system information that can be helpful to the support staff for tracking down specific issues
    and ultimately getting them resolved.

    On your controller simply hold down the Xbox button until the screen shows for shutting down the console / turning off the controller -- there will be an option there that says "Submit Feedback" you can choose this option and it will give you the opportunity
    to provide your feedback and submit it directly to MS.
