When in August do you think?

Finally, some good news. 4J have handed over the PS4 version to Sony for Cert testing. They've said that they're still bug fixing the XB1 and should have it fixed by the end of the week and ready for cert testing. My guess, we'll see them both out with
    2 weeks.

    According to
    this
tweet, they said they're hoping to turn it into MS by the end of the week.

Yep, let's hope they do and that it also passes cert testing the first try.

I'd be ok with them taking as long as they needed to be honest. I for one am sick of the updates/conversions/etc. being churned out faster than they should be to only have my creations wrecked out because they didn't test them long enough and rushed them
    to market.

I have a world I've been working on since the beginning. In that time, I've seen plenty of amazing updates that have added to the enjoyment of the world, but on the flipside, I've seen some destructive side-effects as a result of the various rushed updates.
Since I save that particular world for strictly survival, I do not cheat and add things via creative mode. Everything in that world is built the old fashioned way through long tedious mining and work.

Granted I'm aware that there are some updates that may render my particular world out-dated (such as for example, the fact that I do not have villages or villagers by default because it pre-dates them, something I'm hoping will be remedied once I bring that
world onto the Xbone and it is forced to generate a larger play area) but then there are the game breakers (or rather annoyers) like how I'm still repairing doors and chests all around my world from the last two updates that saw large chests broken and turned
black until I replace them into the environment, and doors throughout my kingdom all misaligned allowing the safe passage of all manner of creepers and zombies into once safe havens. If they would have just taken a bit more time to address issues like that
those types of issues might have been avoided.

There is also what I like to call the "Frozen" plague that has suddenly infected my world as well. Prior to the last update, snow or any frozen environment, simply did not exist in my world. As a matter of fact, my biggest attraction, the castle I hand built
after scouting out prime beach front property to place it near, is now slowly being over-run by snow and ice! The ocean view is now a solid block of ice and snow over run with snow men. (When Minecraft throws you lemons...) and while it was an interesting
and quite curious event at first, it has now become an all out priority to save the world as every time I enter my world the snow has creeped just that much further north! The ocean is slowly becoming solid ice, the castle is little by little beginning to
see snow fall every now and then, and the sandy beach front is covered in snow. It's all I can do to try and battle the weather! I've made the acquisition of glowstone and torches a priority in the kingdom. The tree preserve has been turned into a wood factory
to churn out wood to make torches that help battle the cold and it's been all I can do at this point to stay ahead of the impending snow and ice that threatens my kingdom and soon the entire world. I'm hoping that once I bring it over onto the Xbone, that
somehow I can manage to get ahead of it and build a great big wall of glowstone and fire to perhaps hold it at bay.

Still, I just hope they don't rush this version and it ends up further breaking things.

  5. PANdaRUS , I understand your pain , and I hope the transition from the 360 to the one doesn't cause you to lose anything , but I have been without minecraft since I sold my 360 last December , so I'm hoping it's out sooner rather than later .

  6. 4j have tweeted that Minecraft xbox one edition has been handed over for final testing, fingers crossed they don't find any problems with it.

I kind of figured MS/Xbox would push that Cert Testing through awfully fast.
