Good to know that is working now. So far, I did not receive any notifications of update with regards that there was an issue with this game. You can always check Xbox Status | Xbox Support if you are having any concerns to see if your game is affected. Nice that you are able to add your friend and play together.

So far, from the details you provided, you can try the following steps and let us know the result. You can just skip those you have done already.



Manage your online privacy settings

1. Sign in to your Microsoft account at Xbox.com.
   
2. Select your gamertag, and then select the More actions button (…).
   
3. Select Xbox settings, and then select Privacy & online safety.
   
   Note Because you’re accessing sensitive info, you may have to enter your password or PIN.
   
4. Select either the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 devices Online Safety tab or the Privacy tab.
   
5. Review the current settings and update any that you want to change, and then select Submit to save the changes.
   
   Note You must select Submit at the bottom of the page before leaving or switching to another tab. If you don't submit the changes before you move to the other tab, your changes won't be saved.

i have the same issue what can i do? my friend keeps trying to connect but after connecting to a lobby it just says lobby again help please

Yeah me too me and my friend have been trying for a long time and it just doesnt work for soem reason...

We were never able to accept an invite for SpiderHeck, but other games on gamepass work just fine. The privacy settings showed that I could join multiplayer games but I couldn't find any other relevant settings that would apply to online games.

Update: about an hour later I invited my friend again and he got in, the only thing we did differently was he didn't have the game open when he accepted the invite. I don't know if this was the fix or if it was some other thing that affected it.
