    when I want to send a message it turns gray


    I can only send a message to someone I have already had a conversation with and when I search for someone or want to send him a message through his profile the message screen turns gray. In my xbox one

    I would recommend to restart your console or try to text on a different account to see if its only for your account.

    thank you, i troed this amd nothing worked. When the usb is plugged in the option on the xbox remains grayed out.... and i do not want to send it in since the repair cost just to send to microsoft is $300, is there anything else that may work?

    No cross platform messages. Currently I'm play COD Ghost and all the icons for voice have an x beside it. I've tried to toggle mute with no success. I've tried to put voice out through just headphone, speakers and both with no success.
