    When I turn XB1 on, it wont let my wife's laptop connect to her work VPN. Why?


    Is there a setting I can change on the XB1 or my router to fix this problem?

    If the XB1 is on, her laptop loses its connection to the work VPN and is unable to get it back until I turn the XB1 off. We cant change any settings on her computer because it's government issued.

    having trouble with connecting my laptop and xbox one

    I am having trouble with setting my laptop and xbox one, it was connected and when I was trying to connect putting it on the laptop all it had was turn on but it did not work so I deleted the xbox now my laptop cannot find it and
    when I put the IP address it cannot find it either. spent about an hour trying to fix it but it wont work.

    This sounds whether like your modem / router is not able to provide a teredo Tunnel and a VPN connection simultaneously or the VPN software on the laptop checks for any other VPN like connections for security reasons and does not allow the connection if
    it detects some. And the teredo tunneling can be seen as such a connection. So first thing is to ask the IT staff of your wife's work on this issue.

    Yes, my wife has a vpn on her work laptop. Its on the same network but only her machine uses it.

    Im connected with Ethernet. I reset everything a million times.

    I have had a problem with xbox for a long time. I have done tons of research, many hours on the phone with Xbox, Verizon and just about anyone I could find to help. When I say problem with xbox I mean the lag and packet loss not the trace route.

    The only issue I had, with my wife, is that she's a gamer too and that meant I had to buy her her own XB1 and games. $1K spend turned into $2K spend in the blink of an eye.

    I was using a 20m connection and it worked great, I could play on Xbox Live with my wife streaming to her laptop and my roommate streaming at the same time, I recently went up to a 30m connection just to get a higher data cap.
