when i turn on my xbox one it just stays on green start up screen

I just hard reset my xbox and now it's just staying one the first screen you get taken to when you turn on your xbox. Green screen with xbox one symbol and 3 . . .

So basically its starting up I think but it's just staying on this screen

It might be possible that your console encountered an error while it was updating. It can be fixed but it is a bit of a lengthy process.

Check out How to use the offline system update diagnostic tool.

When you get to that link click I need to update my console offline then select which version of the Xbox One you have. If you have an xbox one x or s it should take you right to the steps you'll need. If you have the original xbox one, click no until your
only option is continue. From there follow the steps on how to update your console offline.

Keep in mind you will need a USB flash drive and a computer to complete this.

Sorry to hear you are experiencing a start up issue with your Console. We would recommend checking out the "I need help with system updates
on my Xbox One." This will walk you through some start up issue troubleshooting for this specific issue.

When you open the link on the first screen select "I need to troubleshoot a system update error." after go ahead and select the specific console you are having issues with. If you select the Original Xbox one you should see a box for the Green screen issue,
If you have selected the Xbox one S or One X then on the following screen select "I am experiencing a Start up issue," after this you will see the option for "Green Startup Animation"

WAIT! the Xbox one when you first turn it on can stay on the big Green screen for up to 10 mins! make sure you dont turn it off when it loading this screen. Wait it out.

My xbox one s goes to green screen on start up and is slow, sometimes it will go to the home screen, but will not let me do anything else (games, apps,etc.). I have tried a soft reset and hard reset but it just goes blank then sometimes back to
the green screen! Is my console done for? Please help!!
