When I turn my console on it makes a weird bloop noise and starts to get hot after 20...

The "bloop" noise could be a warning sound indicating a hardware problem.

Please be guided with the following troubleshooting steps:

Make sure that your console is in a well-ventilated area. Avoid placing it in enclosed spaces or near walls that block airflow. Ensure the vents are not obstructed by dust or other objects.

And overheating can occur during long gaming sessions. Take breaks to let the console cool down. Please observe as well if the Xbox still overheats.

Next is to update the Xbox. Check for system updates. Sometimes, firmware updates include fixes for hardware issues or optimize fan performance.

Kindly monitor room temperature as well because a high ambient temperatures can contribute to overheating. Make sure the room is cool and well-ventilated.

My console does not make noises when it's off, but I noticed that it's hot. Not much, but I didn't expect, since there's no download in progress. Your console gets hot too when it's off ?

The only reason I don't like this is it keeps slightly starling me when I turn it off with my controller and it makes the noise, I always give the console this weird look like whatchu up to, haha.

I wouldn't mind turning it off though, I hate start-up and shutdown noises on anything really, hell I even have a phobia of ringing phones my mobile is always on silent.

Just an update for ya. I turned on the Xbox to try the hot spot like you suggested but when I turned on the console it started to work again. Started to work out of no where just like it stopped working out of no where. There was a update needed after getting signed in for the old game we always play but it's working fine now. Weird! Sorry for the late reply. In response to your questions in order: I haven't yet had a need to use it today, so I don't know if it will still be beeping, but yesterday it definitely wasn't. The day before, however, it did start beeping (ironically after I
said it had stopped..) after I turned it on after waking up in the morning. So it was turned off for the whole night. However, it was only beeping for like two minutes when it was before stopping. I think this might be something to do with wireless interference?
Because I turned my phone off when it was beeping and it stopped, and after turning it back on it didn't start beeping again? 0o

I haven't got around to cleaning the buttons/console yet. I've been ill recently and was just wanting to peacefully rest whilst gaming (ironic much? ) when this beeping started. I'll have a look at it asap though.

After I turn on the console and/if it does start beeping, it only lasts somewhere around five minutes max? However, the other day it didn't stop until I unplugged the console.

I never really take any notice of how hot my console gets, but I doubt it gets hot enough for it to be making beeping noises.

I haven't tried opening the disc drive to check that, no. Next time it's beeping I'll remember and check it though.
