First, welcome to the Xbox community. I'm sorry you're having this problem.

Before we try any different solutions, please check if your windows is updated to version 21h1, if not update it.

To update your windows follow the instructions below.

Select the Start button and then go to Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update.

*If there are no updates to be made, or if updating the system does not resolve the issue.

Try the alternatives below.

Solution 1:

Open RegEdit as an administrator and delete the following Services:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServices]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServicesNet]

PC reboot

Install gaming service like you would normally

Solution 2:

Go to your windows settings, go to the tab>applications and resources>Search for Gaming Services, click on it, go to advanced options, and tap repair.

*If it doesn't work, try the alternative below.

Download the Create Windows 10 installation media application from the link below, at the end of the download run the application, and then follow the instructions given by the program at the end click on upgrade. Rest assured none of your files will be lost, this is a system restore that will try to fix this error.

same to me, i can't download any games, when i go for play one of those the app send me every time on the page for register my game pass.

The Game Pass app won't load up the game as it's no longer on there.

You should be able to just open it directly like any other game

There are occasions (mainly on Xbox mind) where an owned game has issues when it was played through Game Pass. Whenever a game starts, it goes through a process to make sure the person owns it and the Game Pass bit is higher in the list so it stops at that point.

Might be worth trying a Store reset to see if that helps. Click the Wondows icon bottom left of screen, start typing "apps"..it should come up with the MS Store app, click on "app settings", on the following page scroll down and click the reset button

So, the thing I found as a way to get around it is to close the game pass app. Open the store app and try download it through that. Not sure why the game pass app doesn't work so well, but the store app seemed to get me much better speed.s

Try to reset/repair the gaming services and Xbox app. Select Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Find the App named "Gaming Services" then select the Advanced options link under the name of the app (some apps don't have this option). On the page that opens, select Reset. Do the same for Xbox app then restart your PC.
