when i try to join my friends game it says unable to connect even tho i checked my privacy...

We understand that you are trying to play with your friends and is unable to because you cannot connect. Let us check on this together so you will get back to gaming.

To properly isolate your concern, we will be asking some questions. Please provide details/information for us to give more accurate resolution for you.

1. May we ask what platform are you trying to use?
   
2. Are your friends having issues connecting to you? Or it is you that is unable to connect with them?
   
3. May we ask if you have the same NAT type with your friend? (NAT Type: Open, Moderate, Strict, Unavailable)?
   
4. Do you have any error messages or code? (Like Double NAT detected, 0x89231906, Can’t get a Teredo IP address, NAT Type: Unavailable, Teredo is unable to qualify, UPnP not successful).
   
   • For Windows 10:
     
     • PC Settings > Gaming > Xbox Network and check the NAT Type.
       
     • Look for NAT Type
       
     • Please reply with any error message/code you notice.
       
   • For Windows 11: Install Xbox Console Companion app from Microsoft Store (click here)
     
     • Launch Xbox Console Companion app.
       
     • Go to Settings and select Network tab.
       
     • Look for NAT Type.
       
     • Please reply with any error message/code you notice.
       
   • For Console:
     
     • Kindly go to Xbox Console's Settings.
       
     • Select Network and Network Settings.
       
     • Look for NAT Type.

When I try to join a multiplayer game on State of Decay 2 Juggernaut, it says unable to connect game- you must have a populated community to join the game. One friend was able to join but I can not. WHY?

I have triple checked my privacy settings and nothing is preventing me from receiving and joining game invites. I have tested my NAT type multiple times and done lots of restarting my Xbox as well as re signing in and out of my Xbox profile . I have also checked my network connection no issues . It occasionally will allow me to join friends or invite friends to play free to play games but it’s extremely rare. I don’t play games that cost money due to liking warzone / fortnite . When I try to invite them it either doesn’t give the option to me to join and if it doesn’t it let them join. My friend said it just shows a white background.

I don’t have access to games that cost money but when I did have my Xbox subscription it allowed me too . My siblings who have Xbox accounts they are able to invite their friends to games and receive invites from games. And they are younger than me and have the same privacy settings as me.

When I try to join a friends game is says not available purchase modern warfare 2 to have access to everything. I cannot invite friends to games through their gamer tag and through the talking party.

firstly check the game settings then check your privacy settings could be a issue with friends that have not added you as a friend not allowing them to join lastly check nat type settings and ask your friends to do the same.

My settings allow friends and friend of friends to connect.

As i said, when nobody is connected on my world, one person only can join.

Let me explain with an example :

I am in my world

Friend A tries to join my world : success

Friend B tries to join : failure.

Friend A disconnect himself

Friend B ties to join my world : success

Then, Friend A tries to join again : failure.

The problem is that only one person can join me, and nobody else can, no matter who it is.
