A work around is to install the Minecraft Legacy launcher so you can play until its fixed

My two cents.

Out of sudden started to happen yesterday. Removed gaming service/xbox app/Software Distribution folder, ran full update on win, reinstalled xbox app and the rest of stuff, tried to download standalone installer, tried to install using xbox app, tried to install previous launcher from July. Nothing. Nada. Always the same 0x80070490

In the event viewer, `MinecraftInstaller - 9/2/2023 12:04:56 PM - exception - 80070490: Element not found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070490)`
